Super Nature is a film shot exclusively on Super 8 home movie cameras, proposing a new way of seeing the natural world. A celebration of what we have and a reflection on what we stand to lose, the film takes audiences across 25 countries, exploring themes of abundance and loss and a shared sense of connection between human and non-human inhabitants of the earth.
Director Ed Sayers collaborated with 40 people using 80 different antique Super 8 cameras, capturing footage on land, in the air, and underwater. Executive produced by Oscar-winner Asif Kapadia, Super Nature is a visceral, poetic, and personal meditation on nature.
This screening is part of Lighthouse, a fortnightly strand showcasing films slightly off the beaten track. Screenings are Pay What You Feel, so you choose the price that suits you.
