The Horne Section return in 2027 with their brand-new show, Six Absolute Helmets. Following two sold-out years on tour, the band and their frontman Alex Horne — creator and co-host of the BAFTA-winning Taskmaster — bring a fresh set of songs, new jokes, questionable choreography, and a generous amount of mucking about.
Described by The Guardian as "Britain's Funniest Band", the Horne Section have built an impressive track record beyond the stage. They have two series of their own Channel 4 TV show, an iTunes chart-topping podcast, and regular appearances on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown as Dictionary Corner guests. They have also appeared on The Last Leg and Peter Crouch's Year-Late Euros, and are the only band ever to have hosted Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
The five musicians in the band are each accomplished performers in their own right, having worked alongside artists including Oasis, Robbie Williams, Madness, Florence and the Machine, Amy Winehouse, George Ezra, Basement Jaxx, Disclosure, and Noel Gallagher's High-Flying Birds.
Reviews: "We can't recommend The Horne Section highly enough" ★★★★★ Time Out | "Endlessly charming, offbeat humour" ★★★★ The Independent | "Funny and delightful… a welcome escapist treat" ★★★★ Heat
