BEAM Behind the Scenes Tour

Following their success on last year’s opening weekend, our Backstage Tours of BEAM are back! Join us for an entertaining and engaging guided tour of our building, including a chance to go on stage.

If you’ve ever wondered what behind the scenes of BEAM looks like, or dreamt of gazing into a dressing room mirror before you step on stage, or have an interest in what’s beneath the floors of BEAM, then our BEAM Behind the Scenes Tours are for you.

We have four different tours available, including three specialised tours, please make sure you select the tour for you:

The Family Tour is intended for younger visitors (aged 12 and under) with their adults.
Our Access Tour is specifically designed to be a step-free route.
Our Accessible Tour for Young People is a step-free exploration for younger visitors, with BSL Interpretation.

Each tour will include insights into the recent development of BEAM; a chance to explore the backstage areas, including our dressing rooms; and the opportunity to step onto the BEAM stage.

All our tours are engaging, interactive and entertaining.

Tours last 90 minutes, and include a chance for you to ask any questions. All tours will start and finish in the Kitchen Bar.

Numbers are limited per tour, so make you sure you get your tickets!

Biff To The Future

Biff To The Future

Fresh from an acclaimed, award-winning Edinburgh Festival Fringe premiere, Biff To The Future is now touring the UK! The iconic villain of “Back To The Future” takes centre stage in this comedic reimagination of Marty’s time-traveling escapades, turning the celebrated cinematic trilogy on its head from the perspective of Biff, the bully audiences love to hate. This new, heartfelt and unauthorised parody explores the highs and lows of a life chasing power, fame and fortune, reliving Biff’s encounters with Marty and Doc across the centuries. This Edinburgh Fringe Theatre Award 2025 winner is perfect for superfans and newcomers alike! Created and performed by Joseph Maudsley (as seen in the Reduced Shakespeare Company, FRIEND (The one with Gunther) and Potted Potter). Directed by double Olivier Award nominee Daniel Clarkson.
