Join us for a fascinating stroll through Hertford’s rich pub and brewing history.
Starting at the Museum on Bull Plain, we’ll take a circular route through the town centre, uncovering the stories behind Hertford’s historic and former pubs, current and former, and discovering how they fit into the town’s wider history of brewing, drinking, and social life.
Your guide Les Middlewood will bring along a portfolio of old photographs and pictures, giving you the chance to see Hertford’s streets and buildings as they once were — with plenty of stories along the way.
The walk takes around 75–85 minutes, and while this isn’t a drinking pub crawl, there’s always the option to round things off with a pint afterwards!
