White Hart Pub
Salisbury Square, SG14 1BW, Hertford
Mac’s connection to The White Hart dates back to 1790, when William McMullen—a market gardener and father of our founder—joined a local Fellowship Society based at the pub. Ironically, members were fined sixpence for attending meetings "disguised by drink"! Fast forward 118 years, and William’s great-grandson acquired the pub in 1908, firmly cementing its place in our family history.
Today, The White Hart blends rich heritage with retro charm. Expect a curated mix of comfy bucket chairs, long sofas, hand-painted artwork, and two statement fireplaces perfect for colder nights. With nine massive screens—including one outdoors and two in the barn—we're proud to be Hertford’s go-to destination for live sport, every day of the week.
Rain or shine, our covered courtyard offers all-day comfort, making The White Hart the perfect spot to relax, catch the game, and soak in the atmosphere.
