The Cureheads - The Story of Goth

The Cureheads are one of the longest-running tribute acts to The Cure, having formed in 1990 and marking 30 years together in 2020. They recreate the look, sound and atmosphere of The Cure's live shows, and have performed across the UK and internationally including Spain, France, Italy, Eastern Europe, South America, Japan and the USA.

Joining them for the evening are Siouxsie & The Budgiees, a UK-based tribute to Siouxsie and the Banshees. The band is named after Banshees drummer Budgie and performs a mix of Banshees originals and well-known covers, paying close attention to the music and visual style of one of British post-punk's most influential acts. Sally Holliday of neo-folk group The Eden House performs as Siouxsie. On occasion, The Cureheads' frontman joins The Budgiees onstage to reflect the period when Cure frontman Robert Smith played guitar for Siouxsie & The Banshees.

A review in the London Metro awarded the show 10 out of 10, with reviewer Cathy Grime describing Sally Holliday's portrayal as "amazingly convincing" and praising the band for delivering "a very, very nostalgic night".
