Jay Rayner — restaurant critic, wit and occasional pastry-wrangler — brings his new live show to the stage for an evening of foodie insight, lively storytelling and dinner party debate.

Expect frank discussion on the secrets to a great dinner party, whether a restaurant critic is just a bit of a scumbag, the finest things you can have on toast, and what a food writer does when they've exhausted every last synonym for 'crispy'. Jay will also tackle the pressing question of whether you can, in fact, braise spaghetti.

The show draws on material from his forthcoming book Nights Out in the Kitchen, due to be published in September 2026. The book is the sequel to his bestselling Nights Out At Home and features recipes inspired by more than twenty-five years of restaurant reviewing, alongside plenty of his own creations.
