Liz Black is a contemporary visual artist working across painting, sculpture, and digital media. She holds First Class Honours in both her BA and MA in Fine Art from the University of Hertfordshire, where she developed her interest in modernist abstraction and spatial theory. Her practice often begins with three‑dimensional sculptural constructions, which she translates into two‑dimensional works that explore rhythm, depth, and the emotional potential of colour.

The Strange Doors are the UK’s most authentic tribute to the legendary American band The Doors. They’ve been thrilling audiences since 2010 with their note for note recreations of The Doors’ unique rock music and seeing them perform is as close as you can get to a concert by the real Doors. They have played all over the UK, including a headline slot at Festwich (the UK’s biggest free music festival), toured France as part of Doors’ late lead singer Jim Morrison’s seventieth birthday celebration, and even had the honour of performing with musician Jerry Scheff who played bass on the Doors’ classic album L.A. Woman.
