Courtyard Arts is delighted to announce the return of its much‑loved Carols at Courtyard event on Sunday 6 December 2026, featuring a festive performance from the acclaimed Courtyard Quartet. This free annual celebration invites visitors to enjoy an uplifting afternoon of Christmas music surrounded by artwork from Courtyard’s talented members. It’s great opportunity to spread some Christmas cheer while raising funds for the centre.

Doors open at 2:30pm, with singing beginning at 3pm.

The Courtyard Quartet, an a cappella vocal group formed in 2011, have performed widely across Hertfordshire and beyond, including Hertford Theatre, All Saints’ Church Soundbites, the Maldon Festival of Arts, and even the Marble Hall at Hatfield House. Their annual Christmas appearance at Courtyard Arts has become a cherished tradition.

Visitors can look forward to:

• A seasonal programme of carols performed by the Courtyard Quartet

• Joining in with their favourite Christmas songs

• Homemade mince pies and mulled wine

• Unique jewellery, artwork, gifts and cards from local makers

• Free entry, with donations supporting Courtyard Arts’ fundraising

Although the event is free, booking a ticket is essential so the team can safely monitor numbers.
