BEAM Seniors: The Love that Remains
Beam23 Jul 2026

Set against Iceland's stunning natural landscape and spanning the course of a year, The Love That Remains captures intimate moments in the life of a family as the parents navigate their separation. Through vignettes that range from tender and soft to strange and obscure, the film explores the complexities of family, art, love and relationships. Director Pálmason weaves surrealist elements throughout, bringing humour and lightness to what is considered one of his most accessible and relatable films to date.
BEAM Seniors is a regular screening programme for cinema lovers aged 65 and over, taking place every other Thursday.
